BRICS Metalcasting Conference Convened in South Africa 金砖国家铸造业高层论坛在南非召开


Tis March, the third international BRICS Foundry


Forum and Metalcasting Conference was held in South Af- rica. Te forum was hosted jointly by the National Foundry Technology Network and the South African Institute for Foundrymen, and the conference was cohosted with the Univ. of Johannesburg Metal Casting Technology Station. At the conference, basic figures from China, India,


Brazil, South Africa and portions of Russia were presented, compared and extensively discussed to provide a clear view of how different the countries are in production, productiv- ity and how the markets are represented. “We were really pleased with the international and


national representation,” said John Davies, South African Institute of Foundrymen. “I think the biggest benefit is the high quality of papers that have been presented as well as the extensive opportunity for networking with suppliers, poten- tial customers, customers and international representatives.” Te five countries exhibit diversity in raw material and


cost structures amid challenges in education, social condi- tions, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Te next BRICS Metalcasting Conference will take place in 2014 in Ahmedabad, India. 


今年3月,第三届金砖国家铸造业高层论坛及南非 铸造会议在南非举行。本次论坛和会议是由南非国家 铸造技术网,南非铸造协会以及南非约翰内斯堡大学 铸造技术部联合主办。
