Blast Wheels Offer Fast Maintenance, Precise Alignment 快速维护、精确排列的抛丸器

Pangborn Group, Fairburn, Ga., offer the versatility to per- form in the harsh conditions of metalcasting facilities, high output automotive industries and the exacting tolerances of peening aerospace parts. Suitable for various manufacturers’ machines and plants, the wheels are used in new machine development as well as rebuilds and modernization. The wheels boast high performance, improved clean- ing and low operating costs. Their design allows for fast maintenance, precise alignment of the runnerhead and long part life, while almost completely eliminating “shot- lock” thanks to dual tapered vanes. One user purchased its first shot blast machine used in 1993 and moved it to its facility. The plant engineer needed the original manufacturer or an equivalent to help make it operational. Because the machine was one of a kind, the company expected not only high quality equipment, but training, support, design and engineering for the system. Pangborn was selected as a partner that would be held accountable in each of these areas, begin- ning a relationship that would continue until today. The Pangborn sales and engineering team worked
closely with onsite employees to rebuild the 1973 model Work Car Table Machine. The challenge was to deter- mine the quantity of wheels, rpm, flow rates and most importantly the wheel positions, for such a large cabinet. The goal was to peform faster and better cleaning in the cavities, increase core knockout and improve cleaning from shot rebound. The final rebuild design included:
• Replacement of four low speed wheels with six high speed
