MetalTek Reorganizes to Emphasize Global Focus MetalTek公司重组以着重全球战略
MetalTek International, Waukesha, Wis., a manu-
facturer and integrator of high‐alloy components, announced a reorganization designed to solidify its growth strategy as a metals technology provider in key global markets. Te announced restructuring creates three new business units. Te North American Businesses Group consolidates the company’s technology and manu- facturing capabilities in centrifugal, sand, investment and continuous casting into a single organization. Te MetalTek European Group consolidates local sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing functions into an organization that will continue to emphasize the company’s major thrust and expansion in Europe. Te MetalTek Energy Group has been created to serve key energy sectors including oil and gas, conventional and nuclear power generation, and environmental. “We are dedicated to a high growth strategy in our
key target markets. This refined structure will help us continue to focus on those markets and ensure our manufacturing operations meet our customer expecta- tions for today and into the future.” said MetalTek CEO Robert Smickley. “We really believe that the combination of heat, wear, and corrosion‐resistant solutions that we offer to our customers is unparal- leled. This new organization will make it even easier for customers in our target markets to access all that we offer.” According to Smickley, MetalTek continues to exhibit strong revenue growth. “We see increas- ing demand for environmental and energy products, including emerging energy, now and into the future as the world deals with how to meet the demands for in- creasing energy consumption while ensuring environ- mentally responsible means of producing that power,” he said. “Our Energy Group will help our customers meet that challenge.” MetalTek International is a privately held manufac-
turer and integrator of quality high‐alloy components that employs more than 1,400 people in 10 facilities in the U.S., England and Scotland. The company recently acquired Specialty Mainte- nance and Construction Inc. (SMCI), Lakeland, Fla., a close tolerance fabricating and machining services provider targeting high performance markets, in- cluding energy. The addition of SMCI’s capabilities advances MetalTek’s growth strategy as a key com- prehensive provider of metals technology in targeted global markets. “The addition of SMCI to our newly formed En-
ergy Group puts us in a very strong position to be the ‘go-to guys’ for almost anything metal in our targeted key environmental and energy markets,” said, Robert Smickley, CEO, MetalTek.
