Norton Abrasives Makes its Mark Norton磨料公司推出他们的标志
Norton Abrasives, Worcester, Mass.,
a brand of Saint-Gobain Abrasives, has announced the introduction of a new global Norton brand standards program. Te standards are designed to unify its branding efforts worldwide for the Norton brand and Norton sub-brand products for cutting, grinding, sanding and polishing applications. In the new standards, Norton Abrasives
is complementing its logo with the intro- duction of the Norton “Mark.” Te Mark is an iconic element that ties the shape of the Norton logo parallelogram with a contem- porary graphic treatment to provide a quick brand reference for packaging, promotional wear, and online use. Recently, Norton Abrasives debuted
an Abrasives App that includes grind- ing and coolant calculators as well as product selection tools. Te app, avail- able through the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), displays the Mark as the icon and welcome page.

U.S. Metalcasting Expert Receives Honors 美国铸造专家获得荣誉
Doru Stefanescu, professor emeritus for Ohio State University’s depart- ment of Materials Science and Engineering, received an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from Sweden’s Jonkoping University. He also was awarded the John Campbell Medal from the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers in the U.K., “for a sustained contribution to the science and understanding of metal casting.”
